Prepare to get nailed!

Hey, y’all! Good news. Yesterday Kade Boehme and I got an offer from Dreamspinner Press for our first joint project, Wood, Screws, & Nails. It’s a contemporary M/M romance, and barring complications, it should be out sometime in April/May 2014.

I know that’s a bit of a wait, but we’re hoping it’ll be worth it. For now, I can at least share our tentative blurb. Hope you like it. 😉

When Aaron Costa’s closest friend gets injured and leaves him in a bind, he offers to pay his son, Julian, and Julian’s friend, Malachi, to assist him with remodeling the family lake house over the summer.

Malachi jumps at the offer. As a broke college student, he could use the money. On top of that, Aaron Costa is one of the sexiest men he’s ever seen. A summer with Aaron for eye candy sounds like a dream. Then, unexpectedly, Julian starts flaking on his responsibilities, and Aaron and Malachi are forced to spend long hours alone, drawing them closer together.

Aaron fears acting on their growing attraction, both because of their age difference and the fact that while he’s comfortable with himself and mostly out of the closet, he’s never openly discussed his sexuality with his son. Finally, temptation proves too hard to resist, but despite the intensity between them, Aaron worries about how their relationship can last when Malachi is the same age as his son and he himself is closer to forty than thirty. Worse than that, he has no idea how Julian will handle not only learning his father is gay, he’s also dating his best friend.

About Piper Vaughn

Piper Vaughn wrote her first love story at eleven and never looked back. Since then, she’s known that writing in some form was exactly what she wanted to do. A reader at the core, Piper loves nothing more than getting lost in a great book—fantasy, young adult, romance, sci-fi, she loves them all! As a bisexual and Latinx person, Piper takes great pride in her heritage. She grew up in an ethnically diverse neighborhood and strives to put faces and characters of every ethnicity in her stories, so her fictional worlds are as colorful as the real one. Above all, she believes that everyone needs a little true love in their life … even if it’s only in a book.
