I’ll also have a limited quantity of “Lucky Moon” themed door hangers to sign, for anyone interested, as well as some gift cards and hedgehog themed items to give away (if you follow me on FB, you’re probably aware of my hedgie obsession by now ;D). Those will all be first come, first served.
For the first time since 2011, I’m going to have a Christmas story! This is a big change from my last one, Zombie Wonderland. No holiday gore this time around. 😉 This time I have a cute, little elf and the human he’s in love with.
I put a lot of heart into this story, so if you’re looking for a sweet and touching holiday-themed tale with some fantasy elements, be sure to check it out!
Garnet Evergreen has never heard of an elf abandoning the North Pole for a human, but he yearns to be the first. Ever since he saw Wes, the boy with sorrowful eyes, Garnet felt an undeniable kinship. Over the years, he’s watched that boy grow into a man, and now he’s determined to give Wes a Christmas he’ll never forget. If only Garnet had thought to test his father’s sleigh before leaving…
Orphaned as a child, Wes spends every Christmas alone at his cabin. When he’s woken by a suspicious boom and finds a wrecked sleigh and an unconscious elf, he doesn’t know how to react. Wes isn’t fanciful. He doesn’t give much credence to the stories about Santa Claus and flying reindeer. But a part of him wants desperately to believe when Garnet promises forever, even if life has taught him that no one ever stays…

For my French readers, if you’ve been wishing Une petite chose (the translation of One Small Thing) was available as a paperback, good news! It’s coming in November from Reines-Beaux. I’m so excited to have another foreign language paperback. I’ll make another announcement once it’s released.
Hi, all! It’s been a couple of months since the last writing update, so here goes. 😀
Nur eine Kleinigkeit – Release date: March 25. The German translation of One Small Thing. Now available for pre-order.
Moonlight Becomes You – Release date: April 7. This is the 2nd edition, approximately 60K/200 pages. (1st edition was 44K/139 pages.) Now available for pre-order in ebook and paperback. Cover by LC Chase.
Wood, Screws, & Nails – with Kade Boehme – Release date: April 23. Cover by Paul Richmond.
Works in Progress
HL&S – A spin-off of Wood, Screws, & Nails. – Outlined. Starting soon.
S&S – In planning. My story for the Love’s Landscapes event in the M/M Romance Group on Goodreads. If you’re a member, you can see the prompt here.
The Working Man’s Guide to Wooing a Blue Blood Prince (Clumsy Cupid Guidebooks #2) – with Xara X Xanakas – Plotted and started. Temporarily on hold. Hoping to have this one released in the late summer/early fall, if possible. We’ll see. Wish us luck!
Simon’s Story – This is the as-yet-untitled contemporary story I started for NaNoWriMo. It’s going to be a pretty angsty ride, and I had to put it on hold temporarily when one of my family members became hospitalized and the content started hitting a little too close to home. But I’ve been wanting to tell Simon’s story forever, so I certainly will be going back to it!
**Update on the One Thing Series**
I know I’d said this series would be continued, but, unfortunately, that plan has now changed. The “One Thing” series will stand completed with One Small Thing and One True Thing. I thought long and hard about this, and it wasn’t an easy decision, but I think I’m ready to move on to something new. I apologize to the fans who were hoping for books for Josh or Archer. But there will be new and hopefully exciting things to come from me, both alone and with co-authors, so be on the lookout for those! 🙂
Title:Wood, Screws & Nails
Release Date:April 23, 2014
Blurb:Aaron Costa’s summer was all planned. Despite having to remodel the family lake house, it would be a vacation of sorts, and he had every intention of enjoying it—until the friend who was supposed to help him got injured and left him in a lurch. He decides to take the opportunity to bond with his son and hires Julian and his roommate, Malachi, to assist.
As a broke college student, Malachi could use the money, and spending the summer with Aaron for eye candy sounds like a dream. Look but don’t touch becomes his motto. But when Julian starts flaking on his responsibilities and Malachi and Aaron are forced to spend long hours alone together, their mutual attraction is impossible to resist.
Aaron can’t fight the temptation sexy Malachi presents. But more than their age difference…

Hi, all! I keep getting questions about the status of Moonlight Becomes You (Lucky Moon #1), so I figured it was time for another update. Here is what I can tell you.
Moonlight Becomes You (second edition) is coming from Dreamspinner Press sometime in April. It will have new cover art and it will also be available as a paperback. The word count went from around 44K to around 60K. Some of this is new content, some of this are scenes from our free vignette collections (More Than Moonlight and Beyond Moonlight), but even some of those scenes have also been altered during our edits. The story has more Shane but now also includes scenes from both Jesse and Kayden’s perspectives. 🙂
Now, as you can probably guess, the re-release of MBY through Dreamspinner does mean that eventually the entire series will be available from them as well. The first edition of The Luckiest (Lucky Moon #2) is still available for purchase right now, but that will change at the end of next month. If you want to read The Luckiest in its current incarnation, it would be best to purchase it soon. Once it’s taken off the market next month, it won’t be available again until September/October of this year. But, as it stands now, I don’t foresee that particular story being dramatically altered. It will be going through edits again and we’ll be getting feedback from our new editors, so there might be some changes, but MJ and I were satisfied with The Luckiest overall and so I don’t think we’d want to make any really big changes. And as for Moonstruck (Lucky Moon #3), that one will be available for purchase until January 2015; however, the second edition of that one will probably go through some major revisions and additions. We anticipate it might end up around 60K like MBY did.
So, that’s the status for now! Any questions, you can email me or ask in the comments here, of course. 🙂 I just saw a draft of the new MBY cover today and it was pretty fab. I’m excited to share that one when I can.
Hey, y’all! Good news. Yesterday Kade Boehme and I got an offer from Dreamspinner Press for our first joint project, Wood, Screws, & Nails. It’s a contemporary M/M romance, and barring complications, it should be out sometime in April/May 2014.
I know that’s a bit of a wait, but we’re hoping it’ll be worth it. For now, I can at least share our tentative blurb. Hope you like it. 😉
When Aaron Costa’s closest friend gets injured and leaves him in a bind, he offers to pay his son, Julian, and Julian’s friend, Malachi, to assist him with remodeling the family lake house over the summer.
Malachi jumps at the offer. As a broke college student, he could use the money. On top of that, Aaron Costa is one of the sexiest men he’s ever seen. A summer with Aaron for eye candy sounds like a dream. Then, unexpectedly, Julian starts flaking on his responsibilities, and Aaron and Malachi are forced to spend long hours alone, drawing them closer together.
Aaron fears acting on their growing attraction, both because of their age difference and the fact that while he’s comfortable with himself and mostly out of the closet, he’s never openly discussed his sexuality with his son. Finally, temptation proves too hard to resist, but despite the intensity between them, Aaron worries about how their relationship can last when Malachi is the same age as his son and he himself is closer to forty than thirty. Worse than that, he has no idea how Julian will handle not only learning his father is gay, he’s also dating his best friend.
